CHECKING OUT LIBRARY BOOKS & DEVICES

Books may be checked out for ten school days and students have the option to renew. Students must return books promptly when due. Students are required to sign-in in order to use a computer.

Computer use must be curriculum related and authorized by the media specialist. A parent signature on the back of the OUSD Emergency Information card under Notification of Rights gives parental permission for that student to use the Internet. Students using any computer inappropriately will lose Media Center computer privileges for the remainder of the year and may face disciplinary consequences. Students will be required to turn in their ID when using a computer.

  • The librarian will limit the number of books checked out to a student if they are all on one subject.
  • Students will check out books with their student I.D. cards.
  • Current magazines and newspapers are to be used only in the Synergy Center.
  • Reference books may be checked out overnight and must be returned before school
    the following day.
  • Students must return their books promptly when due. If a student fails to return a book, a reminder will be sent.
